The sauce base also includes roasted sweet potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, lime/citrus, vinegar, and water. It’s naturally sodium-free, with no preservatives, gums, or thickeners.

Think of the classics like Frank’s and Cholula, then turn the heat way up and leave the salt behind. Frank’s gets its heat from aged cayenne peppers, while Cholula uses árbol and piquín peppers. Those are familiar, everyday hot sauce peppers.

But Scorchin’ isn’t just about chasing Carolina Reaper heat. Most traditional hot sauces are built around peppers, vinegar, and salt. We add fresh vegetables and roasted sweet potatoes, giving the sauce a fuller, brighter flavor that can stand up to all that Reaper heat, without adding sodium.

Put it on eggs, wings, tacos, pizza, burgers, or even a Bloody Mary. Serious heat, real food, real flavor, and no salt bomb. Pour carefully.

Scorchin’ plays in a completely different heat league. Carolina Reapers average around 1.64 million Scoville Heat Units, compared with roughly 30,000 to 50,000 SHU for cayenne peppers, making a Reaper about 30 to 50 times hotter.

But Scorchin’ isn’t just about raw heat. Fresh vegetables and roasted sweet potatoes smooth things out and bring a brighter, fuller flavor up front. You taste the sauce first, then the Reaper heat starts to build.

Review for "Jersey Girl Scorchin' Hot Sauce" with Carolina Reaper & Dragon's Breath Peppers: This is one seriously good hot sauce. And by hot I mean [profanity] hot! One teaspoon will probably not be a good thing. AND it is sodium-free - a total bonus for those of us with some cardiac issues. Tastes really good regardless. Oh, and the packaging is solid like a tank - this sauce WILL get to you in one piece. Kudos on a great product - I will most definitely order again.

Prepare yourself for flavorful existential epicurean experience. This is the most flavorful extreme hot sauce out there. Trumps all other hot sauces out there!! No salt/no sodium is a plus as most other hot sauces are variations of proprietary salt mashes.

Decent heat, bad flavor

I’d say this sauce is on the upper end of heat compared with what you can usually find in the supermarket, similar to something like Woodstock Scorpion Pepper. It might be too hot for the average Frank’s fan. Where this sauce falls behind is the flavor; it just tastes like salt and vinegar. It’s also very runny, and doesn’t “stick” to the food, instead traveling down your hands and arms, and making a depressing puddle on the plate.Wouldn’t buy this again, personally.

Suggestion: try a little before dumping it on your food! Haha I like hot but whew this one got me sweatin and lips burning! I tried one of the other flavors (masala) and it was milder so I was not ready for this one.

Healthy Heat

Most hot sauces have a decent taste, but contain too much salt and/or sugar. (Very important to limit salt and sugar in the typical American diet, especially when one has kidney disease). This hot sauce tastes great, yet contains NO salt or sugar! Fantastic!

It's HOT

I've had all the Jersey Girl No-Sodium sauces and this is by FAR the hottest by at least 3 times. Solid flavor as well. I've put it on fish, beef, pork, pizza, etc. and it does the job.As an example of how hot this stuff is, one of my bottles arrived with the top broken off. When I opened the wrapping my lungs started itching, nose running, and eyes tearing. Contacted Jersey Girls and they immediately sent me a replacement... PLUS an extra bottle. Note that they are now using new packaging (the tube bubble wrap) which is outstanding - Just like their customer service.I do wish they had a bigger selection of flavors though.

Great Flavor AND No Sodium!

I am so happy to have found this Jersey Girl hot sauce. It has amazing flavor, and I am so grateful it has no sodium. It is hard to find products with low or no sodium so this is my new go to product. I'm looking forward to trying their other flavors as well.

This stuff is insane hot- it a great way - I put a few drops on my tongue and immediately started felt the burn and it lingers but not in a bad way- after the initial jolt there is a slow burn literally for 10-15 minutes just from a few drops - The flavor is pure heat and that is what I bought it for - highly highly recommended
